The society supports the academic interests of its members by inviting guest speakers, like the Sydney Morning Herald’s economics editor, Ross Gittins, to speak about topical economics issues. This is done to keep members abreast of major debates occurring within the profession, and to provide insight into recent national and international economic issues.
